  • Ampersand Magazine: Writer / Fashion Editor / Social Media Editor

-Wrote creative and intriguing articles
-Conducted interviews
-Collaborated and brainstormed with the other editors about what was needed for upcoming issues
-Organized/Styled photo shoots with team (sourced models, clothing, location)
-Face-to-face client interaction (store owners)
-Logged outfits selected for models to ensure safe return to vendors

-Created Facebook page and maintained all comments/posts/pictures/videos
-Attended events and utilized Instagram and Twitter to promote
-Tweeted from @ampersand_uga and continuously brainstormed ways to market Ampersand magazine by utilizing various social media outlets
-At AthFest, live tweeting was implemented so people could follow what was going on with fashion, bands, food, and fans

  • Headbands of Hope: Social Media Director 

– Created social media branch for HOH UGA
-Launched Facebook page and Twitter account
– Networked to find opportunities to raise awareness about the Headbands of Hope brand
-Spoke at sorority chapter meetings that had philanthropies with a similar cause, ie. Relay for Life, Make-A-Wish
– Organized and executed social media campaigns
– Created the creative content used on our social channels
– Pushed out social media content
– Assisted with coordinating events
-In 7 months, acquired 237 likes on Facebook, 55 followers on Twitter, & 91    interactions on Twitter

  • Magazine Class: Creator / Writer / Designer of Head to Heels

The goal was to create an entirely new magazine of our choice. We had to:
-research and identify our target market
-write a mission statement and editorial philosophy
-design the cover and mock table of contents/articles (I used InDesign)
-estimate a five year financial plan
-describe our web components
-create a rate card
-determine appropriate advertisers and competition
-organize departments
-research demographics/psychographics

  • First WordPress Blog

-Created Eavesdrop On Life my sophomore year
-Wrote motivational posts, tips, and created outfit layouts
-Along with the blog, I also posted to Twitter and Instagram
